Philosophy

Our aim is to strike a balance between the economic needs of business and the demand to become more environmentally responsive by the public and government.

The Perfect Storm

We were all affected by the Global Financial Crisis (GFC), and it is possible that there are more disruptions to come.

In many ways the changes were so fast and dramatic that we took our collective eye from the challenges of Climate Change and Peak Oil.

Increasing populations and consumption are leading to the challenge of Scarce Resources.

It is these challenges together that create a Perfect Storm of conditions, that will effect all of the Earth's 7 billion people...

We can make a difference...

We believe that there is a miriad of opportunities to address these challenges. The opportunities can arise from changes in behaviour and technology. As individuals we can influence both our businesses and households.

Why the name "Sunshine n Water "?

Sunshine and water are core elements to our existence, our method of living and our happiness.

• Sunshine and water are required either directly, or indirectly for life. Our Gardens section explores this area including how permaculture can be of benefit around homes and businesses.
• Sunshine and water provide sustainable energy. Explore our Renewable Energy section for some of the recent advances, or review Transport, Construction and Computers for some of the heavy users.
• Sunshine and clean water make such a difference to our quality of life and day to day enjoyment. Please enjoy the photos scattered through this website that remind us of this.

The navigation bar on the left is grouped to show the Sustainability Challenges and Sustainability Opportunities. On many of the pages there are links to resource material if you wish to have a deeper understanding, because it is only when we look the dangers in the face, that we can creatively design solutions that will improve life - not just for humans but life in general, on the one planet that we all share.
